Our Mission
|
GRUS MONACHA INTERNATIONAL AID (GMIA) is a UK-registered Charitable Company serving as a bridge between the helping hands worldwide and small conservational projects in rural China where the destruction of eco-system is ongoing, precious species are disappearing and urgent help is needed. As a UK registered Charity, its immediate responsibility is protecting the habitat of Hooded Crane (白头鹤) in North Eastern China from wetland reclamation and deforestation through creating a network of international and national effort typically by means of financial aid, global awareness raising, introducing sustainable energies and nurturing public appreciation of the artistic & spiritual value of cranes.
Our Visions:
- The company Grus monacha International Aid is working with the people in rural China where the destruction of eco-system is occurring with the effort of supporters worldwide.
- It is also aiming at raising awareness among overseas Chinese students and recent graduates because in the near future those people will play an important role in making a positive difference for the benefit of the environment and people of their homeland.
- Furthermore, it has in mind inspiring the young school-age children in China with a heartfelt love for the harmony between human and nature because they carry on the hope for many generations to come.
Our Working Methods:
- financial aid: helping the selected projects identify potential grants and understand the application procedures; providing interpreting services, in both oral and written forms throughout the application period and awarding period; fundraising for the projects worldwide; etc.
- heightening public awareness of the urgency for actions: creating bilingual or multilingual websites for the selected projects; translating and distributing educational materials for the selected projects; developing an international membership program; helping the selected projects network worldwide with media, NGOs, researchers, businesses and schools; etc.
- nurturing public appreciation of the ecological importance, artistic value and spiritual value of the threatened species; engaging university students and graduates in contributing their skills, energies and creativity; organising events and setting up educational facilities to inspire local school-age children; etc.
