From: Jin
To: 11/11 dinner guests
This is a note from Jin to dinner guests of 11/11. Hope you have been well since the 11/11 Grus monacha dinner & martial arts party on Lotus. At the same time when Bear Stearns´ sad news was made public, the NGO saving the cranes in China was granted the status of UK charity. Be it to celebrate the latter, or, to remember the former, GMIA will raise a toast on Saturday 19th Apr. in Phoenix (Queen of all birds), London.
At the party on 19 Apr, guests will have an opportunity of learning about GMIAs work during the past year. The hosts will propose future projects in UK&China and guests can actively contributing ideas. There is no limit to the number of ideas you can donate. Thanks will be addressed to the people whose kindness and talents have given GMIA wings to take off, including many of you who were there on 11/11 marvelling at the Kungfu show and have become friends to Grus monacha ever since. Every gesture of kindness, big or small, makes a difference, and you are one of them who have already done so. GMIA did not exist last year this time. 35 years ago, in 1973, the now well-known International Crane Foundation was started by 2 Ph.D.s who cared for cranes.
GMIA only sends out invitations to registered member. If you wish to keep in touch with GMIAs news and/or events, and if you would like to help GMIA, you may register your interest/talents at join Us page.
P.S. Do you still remember the gifts, the gifts for children you brought with you to 11/11? There is good news from China thanks to your gifts, and our 以鹤为媒 白头偕老 also seems to lead to romance, which I hope to share with you at our 19 Apr Phoenix party.
Warm regards,
Jin
